Tour the room
Come see the room your child would join. Meet the teacher who runs it and watch the class in the middle of its day. Ask how the morning flows and what the children do outside. Bring your questions.

Enroll and settle in
Once you enroll, we plan a first week that fits your child's routine. Teachers learn how your child naps, eats and settles. You decide together how to start. Call us anytime along the way.
What to have ready
Most families bring a few things to their first meeting. Enrollment forms, a health form and an up-to-date immunization record. Emergency contacts and the names of people allowed to pick up your child. We will tell you exactly what is needed for your child's age.
Pack a full change of clothes in case of spills and puddles. Add outdoor gear for the season: coat, hat, boots or sunscreen. Nap items for children who rest here, and a comfort object if it helps. Label everything with your child's name.
Before the first day, settle the drop-off routine and who will pick up. Tell us how you want to hear about the day, and who to call if something comes up. A short goodbye helps more than a long one. We will follow your lead.
The first weeks
The first days often start short. A child may come for part of a morning and build up from there. A familiar object from home can help bridge the new room. A teacher greets your child by name at the door.
At pickup, teachers tell you what your child did, ate and how they napped. Some children settle in a few days, others take a few weeks. Both are normal. We keep talking with you until it feels easy.

Can we visit before deciding?
Yes. A tour is how most families decide, and children are welcome to come along.
What should my child bring on the first day?
For a first day, families usually pack a full change of clothes, diapers and wipes if needed, and a comfort item like a small blanket or stuffed animal. Label everything with your child's name. A water bottle and any sunscreen or bug spray also help. Teachers will let you know if anything else is needed.
How do you handle the first weeks?
Many children start with shorter days and build up as they get used to the room. A familiar object from home can help. At pickup, teachers tell you how your child ate, napped and played.
What does a typical day include?
Days are built around arrival, play and learning, meals and rest, and outdoor time. Children move through teacher-planned activities and free choice play. Pickup closes out the day, so ask us about your child's schedule.
How will I know how my child is doing?
Teachers talk with you at pickup about how the day went. If you want more detail, ask, and we will tell you what we saw. For anything specific to your child, the director is glad to talk.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have. Call or email us and we will tell you what is available for your child.
What if there is no place right now?
If we do not have a place right now, you can ask to be told when one opens for your child's age. We will keep your information and reach out.
What should I ask on the tour?
Ask about hours, tuition, and what your child needs to bring. Ask how meals and rest work, and who can pick up. Ask how the first weeks are handled and what a typical day looks like.
