What each room is for

01

Infants room

Infants are rocked and cuddled in gentle arms. Their own schedule leads the day: feeding times, napping, and playtime are met as each baby needs them. Care is individual, and the room stays calm and safe so a baby can settle, rest, and take in the faces and voices around them. Families can ask the teachers how their baby's day went.

02

Toddlers room

Toddlers begin to explore, so the room gives them things to push, stack, fill, and carry. Circle time, dramatic play, music, art, and language fill the morning, along with beginning educational concepts. Fine and gross motor skills grow as they play and discover, including time on the on-site playground. Teachers guide the group through a program built for this age.

Preschool room

Preschool learning happens through imagination, discovery, and exploration. The room holds spaces for dramatic play and block building, an art area, a puzzle table, and a science station. Teachers build on what children already learned as toddlers and encourage them to try each activity. Outdoor play is part of the day, and children practice choosing, sharing, and finishing what they start.

Pre-K room

Pre-K prepares four- and five-year-olds for Kindergarten. Reading and math work together with problem-solving, social skills, language, and listening. Teachers plan hands-on activities and projects that strengthen fine and gross motor skills, so children cut, build, sort, and write. The day asks them to follow directions, work with others, and stay with a task. Families can ask how their child is progressing.

05

Kindergarten room

Kindergarten is a full day and lays the foundation for elementary school. The curriculum builds strong reading and math skills, with the fundamentals taught step by step. Children learn in a small group setting, so the teacher can meet each student's needs. Hands-on science experiments, music lessons, creative art projects, and educational field trips fill out the program.

Half Day Kindergarten room

This half day program serves children who attend public school Kindergarten. It gives them enrichment beyond the school day. Transportation is provided to Guth Elementary School, so children can move between the two settings. Families can ask the director how the schedule works with their child's school day.
